Tramp Fest

Friday, February 9th – Schedule

  • 4:30 pm  – Warm Up Starts (arrive at least 10 minutes early)
  • 6:30 pm – Pizza
  • 6:45 pm – Airplane Toss & Handstand Contests, followed by Awards

When to Arrive?

Plan to have gymnasts arrive 10 minutes early so they can get changed and meet up with their coach/group.

What to Wear?

Wear what you normally wear to gymnastics class. If you have a gym suit wear it; if you have a choice of suits, pick your favorite (tank or long sleeve – whatever you like). Girls can wear shorts over their suits. Boys on the competitive tramp team should wear their uniform (white socks please). Boys from recreational classes can wear a tight fitting t-shirt or tank top with soccer style shorts.

We won’t be making big changes to the gym for this event. We’ll pull down a few chairs and use some of the blocks and equipment for seating throughout the gym. Families are welcome to move around during the event (in fact, you’ll probably need to move depending on what event your child is doing). Cameras are welcome – just no Flash Photography please.

  • Please remove your footwear before coming down into the gym.
  • Please, no food or drink in the gym.

What to expect

Two large groups (12 ish) of gymnasts will be performing up to 2 passes on the Double Mini Tramp, and one routine on the Trampoline (their hard one!). Participants range in age from 5 – 13 yrs; we’ve got brand new recreational gymnasts, as well as seasoned competitors. Some train trampoline a few hours a week, and some hardly at all. This is an Interclub fun event that is geared towards having a great time and learning a little about competing trampoline. Our youngest competitors will receive certificates with comments about their performances. Most gymnasts will be scored by adjudicators and awarded a Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on their performance. Cheering loudly is highly recommended!

Gymnasts will all get a slice of pizza, cookie & drink after the event. We’ll then have a little fun (and prizes) with an airplane toss and some handstand contests before giving out awards.

As we haven’t run an event like this before (and had more response than anticipated), it may take a little longer to get through everyone’s routines. That being said, we don’t expect the evening to run later than 7 pm.
