Support Our Grant

Glacier Gymnastics has applied for the 2023 Columbia Basin’s Resident Directed Grant (formerly the Community Initiatives or “Dot Program”). Our proposed project is to fund a much needed computer and software upgrade – total value $5000.00

Community Input – Area’s E – F – H and Nelson

Decisions about which projects get funded are largely influenced through a community input process.

  • The more people who support our project, the more likely we are to receive funding.

If you live in one of these electoral areas your support can ensure our project is funded:

  • Areas E
  • Area F
  • Area H
  • City of Nelson

Glacier Gym & Covid Recovery Challenges

Glacier Gym is returning to normal operation this season. However, we lack the resources to bring back many “extras”,(like birthday partie/school groups, etc.). Total participation is about 75% of pre-COVID numbers.

Financially Glacier experienced $170,000 in lost revenues throughout COVID. The Club’s savings have been wiped out, and for the first time in its history, Glacier is carrying significant debt.

The financial realities of the last few years are by far the largest challenge the Club has faced. The club was lucky to receive financial support in the form of CEBA loan ($60,000 interest free – Canadian Emergency Business Account loan). This season’s goal is to raise the $40,000 loan repayment (If paid by Dec 2023, the remaining $20,000 is forgiven).

We’re welcoming all sponsors and donators to help us overcome this challenge. Please give us a hand in building a more active and healthier community by joining our Sponsorship Program or Donation Program
