 Upcoming Events & News

Year End Show
June 21, 3:00 - 5:00
Admission fee:  by donation.
Come out and enjoy gravity defying gymnastics featuring group demonstrations and solo performances.  Performers include members of the Super Tots's, Pre-Competitive Boys & Girls, Acro / Dance Team and the Competitive Boys and Girls teams.
Last Day of Classes
The spring session will conclude the week of June 23 - 27.  Saturday classes finish on June 14th.  The last class of the session is parent watch day and everyone is invited down into the gym to take pictures and see how much the kids have learned.

Fall Registration...going online
Many of you have been asking about reserving your spots for class in the fall. Fall registration marks the beginning of a new season and requires all members to sign new waivers and have their insurance renewed.  For this reason we do not pre-register for the fall programs.

We're excited to announce plans for a website featuring online registration that should help to reduce the lineups we typically experience during registration.  Current plans are to have it up and running for September.  More details will be given out by the end of session.
 Volunteers Requested
Volunteers Needed:   How many people do you need to change a light bulb?  In our case.... A LOT!  The Club needs volunteers to move all of the equipment in the gym.  The City will be changing the florescent lights and requires that the floor be cleared to give access to the scissor lift.  This is a much needed maintenance item as many of the lights have burned out over the last year.  The City has tentatively scheduled the work for the week of July 1st.

This is definitely one of those tasks that can be made manageable by having a lot of members come and help out.  Many hands make make light work.

With enough volunteers we'd like to use this as an opportunity to do some housekeeping and equipment maintenance in the gym.  If enough people turn out, we hope to:
  • Move the equipment out and put it back again.
  • Make some repairs on the spring floor while it is dismantled.
  • Dispose of the wooden crate/box the new beam was shipped in.
  • Install some rings and other hardware from the ceiling.

Final details and times will be circulated once they're finalized.  Please sign up on the bulletin board, or by contacting the office (352-2227, info@glaciergymnasitcs.com ).

We're looking for some specific things...
Are you trained in the operation of scissor lifts?
Do you have a concrete drill?
Do you have a truck?
Please help out; contact the office for more details.
 Competitive Program Information
Year End Show:  All children invited to participate in the show must attend the Friday rehearsal.  If you are unable to attend the rehearsal or the show, please let your coach know ASAP.  Please remember that attendance during the next few weeks is important.  Try not to miss practice; the rest of your group is counting on you.
Please arrive for the show on Saturday, June 21 at 2:00 p.m.

Fall Registration Changes:   Program invitations for the 2008-09 season will be sent out over the next week.  Pre-registration for next year is requested by the end of June.  This change is being implemented to allow time for appropriate hiring over the summer.

Summer Training Camps:   New this year are full day camps being offered twice over the summer.  Training will be in the morning; the afternoon will include excursions and trips around the community.  Guarantee your spot by registering early!  Details can be found in the member's area of the website.
